Medical Device Assembly Technician

We are seeking a highly-skilled and innovative candidate who is excited to make meaningful contributions in prototyping, device assembly, and process development efforts as an integral part of a cross-functional engineering and production team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Micro-assembly of electro-mechanical medical device prototypes using a microscope.
  • Manufacturing of catheter assemblies / subassemblies.
  • Contribute design and manufacturing process improvement ideas.
  • Perform in-process mechanical and electrical inspections.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate build records. Assist in generating and improving manufacturing and test procedures.
  • Design fixtures for device manufacturing and test.

Key Requirements:

  • At least some post-high school education OR >5 years relevant job experience.Small mechanical assembly experience, some work under a microscope highly preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a keen understanding of production paperwork, record-keeping, document creation, and maintenance in a modern medical manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical test experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; able to generate technical notes and reports to document his/her work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate‚Äôs degree or higher in relevant technical field.
  • Medical device experience is a plus.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, mechanical OR electrical. CAD experience is a plus.
  • Fine wire soldering or SMT component re-work experience.
  • Experience working with epoxies or adhesives, thin-film or active coatings.
  • Experience managing a small team of operators in a medical device manufacturing setting is a plus.
